Masking Household Odors Vs. Eliminating Odors: What’s the Difference? How to Remove Smoke Odor From Walls

ECOBOND® OdorDefender® | Smoke Odor Eliminator - Specially Formulated Defense and Protection Against Odor, Smoke & Fumes from Cigarette, Pot, Fire, as well as Pet and Other Annoying Odors

A foul smell has the power to ruin the reputation of your space. If you’re a real estate professional looking to sell a property, a developer preparing their property for rent or lease, or a homeowner planning to conduct thorough renovations, odor-blocking is something you need to consider seriously.

Most people focus more on furniture and fabric when performing countermeasures for removing the odor. However, paint can absorb odor too. It’s no wonder, even when you bring in new furniture, you find that the unpleasant smell still lingers.

You quickly head to the store to buy all sorts of air fresheners hoping to get rid of the smell. And all to no avail!

The good news is that it is possible to get rid of bad odor and lingering fumes from cigarette or pipe smoke once and for all. But the puzzle many people face is whether to mask odors or eliminate odors for a lasting solution. You need an Odor Blocking Paint!

So, what is the difference between these two odor control measures?

Masking Odor

People like to take cigarette breaks to chit chat with colleagues. It’s easy for the smell to spread outside to other rooms rendering the whole place inhabitable if the odor issue goes unchecked.

To address the situation, property managers turn to use fragrances and air fresheners to hide the bad smell. However, what these fragrances do is bind themselves to the odor molecule. This does nothing to help get rid of the problem. If anything, it makes it worse.

In addition, this is only a temporary solution. Soon enough, the fragrance will fade out, and the bad odor will resurface.

Eliminating Odor

This is the only viable method of completely getting rid of odor caused by cigarette or pipe smoke. It entails targeting the source of the smell and eliminating it. Usually, the source of this odor is the paint that absorbs it. You would, therefore, need a professional to help conduct the elimination process.

These professionals are not only equipped with the right tools and equipment but have loads of experience on how to address the specific issue. They know where to look and can quickly isolate the problematic spots. According to this study by Cabrini University, there are healing powers in breathing clean air. If done right, odor elimination is bound to help remove any traces of lingering stenches once and for all.

Inside a commercial facility or property that is up for sale, bad odor is a turnoff for clients, employees, and prospective buyers. People want to walk into places that smell nice and fresh. You want to make sure you understand the difference between masking and eliminating odor to establish positive and durable results.

ECOBOND® OdorDefender® is a professional-grade Eco-friendly, odor-blocking paint designed for sealing, blocking & absorbing existing dangerous odors and fumes from the effects of cigarette smoke, pot smoke, fire, as well as pet odors and substantially improves indoor air quality.

Because odors are sealed and blocked,  it gives the very best protection for your children & family!

In side-by-side comparisons ECOBOND® OdorDefender® outperformed every leading competitor on the market in key areas including price, coverage per square foot, odor absorption, stain blocking, fire & mold resistance.

Colorado Clean Indoor Act – Considerations for Improving Indoor Air Pollution With Odor Blocking Paint

ECOBOND® OdorDefender® | Smoke Odor Eliminator - Specially Formulated Defense and Protection Against Odor, Smoke & Fumes from Cigarette, Pot, Fire, as well as Pet and Other Annoying Odors

Odor Management PlanThe general assembly has passed new legislation updating the existing Clean Indoor Air Act. The new provisions ban smoking indoors in all public places. The ban includes e-cigarettes and vaping, which means you can no longer use them in public places.

The intention is to control vaping among Colorado teenagers whose vaping statistics are above the national average, according to the Department of Public Health and Environment.

There must be specific considerations in your Odor Management Plan to be able to protect occupants from the danger of smoke and odor from smoking.

Initially, people couldn’t smoke within 15-feet of public building entrances. However, the new legislation increases this distance to 25-feet. The change is in relation to the new data from a survey on public health in Colorado schools. The survey findings state that secondhand smoking is prevalent in public entryways.

The new legislation removes all exemptions for vaping or smoking in airport designated areas. Besides, under the new law, motels and hotels can no longer designate rooms allowed for smoking. The legislation aims to limit exposure to secondhand nicotine and smoke.

The law ensures Coloradans no longer have to suffer from secondhand smoke outside entryways to buildings. The new law protects service industry employees and customers from heavy metals, nicotine, and cancer-causing chemicals. Nicotine from vaping devices and aerosols are a major air pollutant in public spaces.

What does the new legislation mean? All businesses are now vape-free and no smoking areas. Plus, assisted living facilities are also no-smoking zones.

However, there are places where smoking is still permitted, like marijuana tasting rooms. Nevertheless, the business must have a license for consumption, and only people over 21 years are allowed to enter the establishment.

Include ECOBOND® OdorDefender® Odor Blocking Paint in your Odor Management Plan:

ECOBOND® Paint, LLC is the Premier Provider of Environmental Products Focused on Protecting Human Health from the Dangers of Lead, Smoke & Odor. ECOBOND® OdorDefender® is a patent pending formula utilizing a mineral and unique biopolymer odor blocking technology.

Because odors are sealed, blocked, and absorbed  it gives the very best protection for your children & family!
